Can you confirm that the G.Skill Ripjaw F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL is suitable for the Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H motherboard as it's not on the list of approved RAM and the board isn't listed on your site.

I'm building a HTPC using a Silverstone SG03 case which will be housed in a cabinet so I need something cool.

They'll run on the mobo, but you may have to go 1333 speedwise, getting 1600 with the CPU will take some tweaking and voltage

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Can you advise a better alternative, given the cooling requirements?

1600 will require an OC with most any AMD CPU, they are generally rated only up through 1333, thus OC which will lead to more heat. Also many AMD CPUs just can't handle the OC needed to run 1600. You might look at the various CPUs available and google them along with 1600 RAM - i.e. "AMD 455 1600 RAM" to get an idea of what will or won't run, problems encountered, voltages & BIOS settings required, etc just an example the 965 is a decent CPU and the C3 version will run 1600, but the earlier version won't
