ey gskill-tech, are the flare series of modules even AMD-tested? I'm just curious as my set failed on me last year and I've yet to do an RMA. I'm using some elcheapo modules from another manufacturer and I'm craving to get my phenom x6 to 4.2 ghz.

I was hoping to add another 2x2GB set of my Flare memory some time soon.
I posted here about 2 months ago and was told by a G. Skill rep that it would soon be back in stock.
However, I'm still waiting for it to appear back in stock at Newegg.

I have a buddy over at the AMD forms with a 1090T and the Crosshair IV Formula.
He just went with 8GB Patriot DDR3-2000 Sector 5 memory with CL8 timings.
Although they were "designed" for Intel platforms, he says they run like a champ.
Keep in mind when modules say "designed" for Intel it just means that they were tested on an Intel platform.

Of course, we don't even test Flare series on Intel. But some users have done it just for fun and they produced great results too.

              Thank you

still no flare kits on newegg

I bought the 8 gig kit on the initial build, with the intention to upgrade to 16 when the money allowed. On my setup, using Profile 1 in the bios, I have no problem running 2000 completely stable. Would love to upgrade, as I'm doing a lot of video FX work - alas!

                  is there an an alternate..

that will play nice with the c8 flare listed below? I'd like to have 4 x 4 sticks - 16gigs. It's been at least 4 months since I began looking for them on newegg - the only kit available today is a cl9 4 gig (2 x 2gig)?

Nothing as far as matching with your existing kit. Even if there was another 8GB kit like yours, they may not work well together.

I would suggest looking into one of these:

                    F3-12800CL7Q-16GBXH
                    F3-17000CL9Q-16GBXLD

We can also accept your existing kit as credit, so you don't need to shell out full price. Contact the RMA dept for further details.

                    Thank you

                      replace flare..

I looked at both the kits you recommended - both are "Designed Specifically for Intel Sandy Bridge CPUs and P67 Platforms" - which would probably work, but I'm not ready to go through another round of random bluescreens if not.. maybe 8 gigs is enough until the next upgrade cycle.
Thank you for your quick response - nice to have a direct line to you guys..

                          I search Flare Kit F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS or F3-16000CL9D-8GBFLS

                          Hello,
Can you give the onlineshop in Argentina ?
I search for a long time the Flare kit F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS or F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS.

I have found in Germany on the following link:
                          http://www.amazon.de/G-Skill-PC3-160...71135&sr=1-148
They sell the kit G.Skill 8GB PC3-16000 (2000 MHz) F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS. I have asked at the buyer if the kit was really available. They told me they had no stock but the delivery time was 2 to 4 weeks and that period was fixed according to the manufacturer. I was a little surprised. Do you think it's really possible that they can still get this kit within this time? This is surprising since G. Skill stops the production ... It is curious because the Flare kit is fast always out of stock. What do you think ?

                          I have the following system:

                          Case Lian Li PC-A77-FA Silver
                          Motherboard Asus Crosshair IV Extreme
CPU AMD Phenom II X6 1100T Black Edition
                          Watercooler Corsair Hydro H100
                          RAM DDR3 8GB G.Skill Flares F3-16000CL7-4GBFLS (4x2GB) (two kits)
                          Fan for RAM G.Skill FTB-3500C5-D
Graphic cards 3 x EVGA GTX460 FTW EE (Tri SLI with chip Hydralucid)
HDD WD Velociraptor 600 GB Sata III

I have also 8GB (4x2GB) Flare F3-16000CL7D-4GBFLS (two kits), but I would like to install two kits Flare 4x4GB F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS or F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS to have 16GB.

Where can I find this Flare kit in stock ?
Has G.Skill really stoped the production of the Flare Serie ? If yes, I don't understand this decision. The Flare kit has so great performances !

Please Help me to find two kits F3-16000CL8D-8GBFLS or two kits F3-16000CL9D-8GBFLS.

If you can not find my Flare kits, are the kits below compatible with my motherboard Crosshair IV Extreme (AMD platform) ? :

                          http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=370
                          http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=375
                          http://www.gskill.com/products.php?index=376

And will they be as well as for the Flare Series games and overclocking, or better ?

Flare series is discontinued for now. High performance chips is very rare, so it is very difficult to keep production for a long time. As of now, RipJaws X and Z is the best for AMD platforms.

                                Thank you
