  • Having issues overclocking ram

So according to G. Skill tech in my other post I could do CAS 6 at 1600Mhz or CAS 9 at 2000Mhz with my 6gb Pi 7-8-724 1600Mhz kit.

Currently im at 1504Mhz at 7-8-7-24, due to clock speeds. Iv tried to do 6-6-6-24 and 6-7-6-24, but cant seem to make them work, i stop trying at a vdim voltage of 1.65v (ram is 1.5v stock) and uncore of 1.5v.

I can get 6-7-6-24 to get up to my raid controler before I need to reboot at 1.4 uncore.

    Any advice?

Gskill said could hit CL6 with lower frequency, probably should have specified at lower speed, can prob hit CL6 at maybe 1333 or so running possibly 6-7-6-20 or so (at least that's where I would start for CL6.

Im striving for 1914Mhz, not so much lower CAS.

For 1919, I'd start at 10-10-10-30 or so, Command Rate at 2, Voltage at 1.6. If that is okay, gradually tighten them down, i.e. 9-10-10-29 then 9-10-9-28, 9-9-9-27, etc. Try and keep voltage at around 1.6 max on the sticks.

Wouldn't bet on it, but you never know, you could approach the GSkill folks, not sure if they would go for it, might try a personal message to GSkill Tech

If you 'help' out others with systems, not bad to just keep sticks on hand. They come in very handy when people want to upgrade, or get into things that require more DRAM or in case you ever have a stick or two die in your own systems. I try to keep some odd lots around at all times primarily DDR3 and DDR2 but even straight DDR and Notebook sticks

Haha, its true but I have no money to keep 2 sets of expensive ram atm. Im hoping G. Skill Tech says I can swap somehow.

I JUST noticed windows was only showing 4gb of my ram, so I reseated for all 6gb lol. Stupid DIMM slots on my board have never once properly seated ram.
