  • Asus m4a88td-v + 4gbrl + amd ph ii 955be ok?

Brand new, so bare with me.

Just built my first system using the components listed in the title, and was wondering if it would be OK to bump from 1333 to 1600 without any problems. Currently I am running 4X2GB without any problems so far, although I haven't begun any stress tests yet. I know that the mobo & RAM combo is not listed on either manufacturers website. If stress tests pan out good, should it be alright to bump the RAM to the spec'd 1600? If so, what settings would be required in the BIOS? I've seen suggested timings on the this forum, but none specifically for this mobo chipset.

    Other items in the build:
    XFX 5770
    Antec Earthwatts 650W
    Samsung Spinpoint 500GB, 7200 RPM

    Thanks.

In addition to basic memory settings, bump up the CPU-NB Voltage +0.1V (1.20V) and that should stabilize DDR3-1600.

    Thank you
