  • memory related crashes and hangs

    Hello everyone,

    Product: F3-10666CL8D-4GBHK
    Mobo: Intel x48 bt2
    Processor: Intel Q9550

For a while I've been having crashes and hangs (especially while gaming). I noticed that my mobo was reading my ram timings wrong (9-9-9-24 @ 1.5v) I corrected it to (8-8-8-21 @ 1.66v). The frequency of the crashes went down but this did not make them stop.

I also noticed that in the bios I can change the tWR tRFC tRRD tWTR settings.

All drivers are up to date (bios up to date as well). I've narrowed the problem down to the ram, but I don't know what to do now.

    Any suggestions?

The sticks call for 1.5 so might want to keep it around 1.5-1.6 and instead raise the NB/MC voltage .1

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

hmm. Interesting, I will give it a shot.

Also On my box it says:

      CL8-8-8-21 1.65V

so which is correct the 1.5v or the 1.65v?

      - thanks for the help

Tried the suggestion - Crashed my computer 30 sec later (Usually runs for several hours before a crash)

        Plan B?

Test each module individually to see if one is defective causing the problem.

          Thank you
