  • I'm buidling a PC for the 1st time...

And newegg's website says they cannot guarantee the compatibility of Combo items. So I thought I'd ask before I bought.

Will the F3-12800CL6T-6GBPI memory sticks work on the ASUS P6X58D-E motherboard? It is not listed on the memory's web page's Qualified Motherboards List.

Also, will they work with Windows 7 64 bit? or would 32 bit be better? Or is that even something to worry about?

    Thanks,

    Martin

Shouldn't have any problem, the sticks are designed with the X58 chipset in mind. As far as 32/64 bit for the OS, a 32 bit can generally only access about 3GB of RAM, so go with the 64bit, it will use all 6 GB and is more robust.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Go 64 bit your limited to 3.25GB with Windows 7 32-bit and also your video cards can duct from that total of memory also. To be honest the better bag for the buck would be getting Windows 7 Pro 64-bit is my advice, since it has virtualization and more memory support. The memory will be fine I am running F3-12800CL7T-6GBPI kit on the same board without a hitch and have had great results.
