Hi thanks for the reply - I have just tried overclocking the cpu NB frequency and cpu-nb voltage and here are my results,

    (other settings)
    Ram speed: 1866MHz
    Ram timings: (9-9-9-27-2T)
    DRAM Voltage: 1.6v
    cpu multiplier: x13.5
    fsb: 233
    CPU frequency: 3145MHz
    CPU Voltage: actual 1.37v
    CPU/NB: Auto (1.158v)

Here are all the different configurations of frequency and voltage I tried for the CPU NB:

    1) Setting CPU NB Frequency to default 1864Mhz (same as ram speed)
    Setting cpu/NB voltage normal (1.158v) ~ unstable
    +0.05 (1.2v) ~ unstable
    +0.1v (1.25v) ~ unstable
    +0.125v (1.275v) ~ unstable

2)Setting CPU NB Frequency to 2097mhz
Setting cpu/NB voltage normal (1.158v) ~ failed to boot
    +0.05 (1.2v) ~ unstable
    +0.1v (1.25v) ~ unstable
    +0.125v (1.275v) ~ unstable

3)Setting CPU NB Frequency to 2330MHz
    Setting cpu/NB voltage normal (1.158v) ~ unstable
    +0.05 (1.2v) ~ unstable
    +0.1v (1.25v) ~ unstable
    +0.125v (1.275v) ~ unstable

4)Setting CPU NB Frequency to 2563MHz
    Setting cpu/NB voltage normal (1.158v) ~ unstable
    +0.05 (1.2v) ~ unstable
    +0.1v (1.25v) ~ unstable
    +0.125v (1.275v) ~ unstable

    All configurations were unstable

Any other ideas on what may be causing this. Here are some pcitures of the bios settings (with cpu nb and frequency set back to auto):

    CPU/NB Frequency (1864MHz)
HT Link Speed values (233Mhz,466mhz,..... etc)

    Thanks again for your help

  • Crosshair IV AMD 1090t GSKill Trident 4GB (2x2GB) ~ overclocking ram above 1600mhz

    Hi
    My current system is:
    Crosshair IV
    Amd 1090t (stock speed 3.2GHz)
    F3-16000CL9D-4GBTD GSKill Trident 4GB (2x2GB) DDR3 PC3-16000 2000MHz (9-9-9-27)
And a corsair hydro H-50 cooler,

I have successfully got my system running at 1600MHz stable - current stable config:
    Ram speed: 1600MHz
    Ram timings: (7-7-7-21-1T)
    DRAM Voltage: Auto 1.66v
    cpu multiplier: x20.5
    fsb: 200
    CPU frequency: 4100MHz
CPU Voltage: Actual 1.42v (Keyed in value 1.405v)
    CPU/NB: Auto (1.171v)

I have ran prime95 for a few hours and it is completely stable. I did have it running stable at 4.2ghz using a multiplier of x21 and cpu voltage 1.5v but with my case closed temps were getting too high (and it shut down) - so I had to reduce the clock a bit.

I then tried running at the ram at
    Ram speed: 1866MHz
    Ram timings: (9-9-9-27-2T)
    DRAM Voltage: 1.6v
    cpu multiplier: x13.5
    fsb: 233
    CPU frequency: 3145MHz
    CPU Voltage: actual 1.37v
    CPU/NB: Auto (1.158v)
Everything else is set to auto

And it is unstable - I have increased the cpu voltage all the way up to 1.5v and it still remains unstable. I have tried increasing the CPU/NB by 0.1v and it still remains unstable (following advice given on previous support topics).

Im unsure what to try next - do you have any ideas what to try now?

When trying 2000mhz the computer is very unstable (actually the stress test doesnt get to reach 50% cpu utilization before errors occur).

I have also enable cpu load-line calibration and cpu/nb load-line calibration

    Thanks Sammy,

Ps. If you need any more info please ask and I will post it here
