Dell Vostro 3400 NOT Working with F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ

        Hi,

I read your post and also the Administrator positive response. But, despite I can see you are looking for the PC3-8500 module, I should say that I bought the F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ (DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666)) from an online retailer and the computer started with clicking noises on boot up, blue screen errors all the time with any app running, icons on desktop permanently flickering, not able to open folders on Windows Explorer, freezing, erratic behavior all over the OS (Windows 7 x64 Ultimate), and impossibility to use the system all around.

I tried the modules one by one and they work separately but not when I put them together. I also updated to laptop BIOS to v.A10 with no positive result at all. As a matter of fact, it was hard to get the machine acting correctly after several clean installs of Windows. It was like some cache saved the bad configuration or corruption on the BIOS.

As soon as I went back to the factory Hynix HMT325S6BFR8C-H9 (2x2GB) all went back to normal. I am now wondering if I should request a replacement or just a refund, since I don't know if the replacement will act the same.

I would appreciate technical comments from G.Skill specialist on this issue.

        Thanks

          rogriverac -

There's a humongous difference between the two, you bought F3-10666CL9D-8GBSQ, which is 8GB of 1333 DRAM,

Rakperbanengen is asking about F3-8500CL7D-4GBSQ which is 4GB of 1066 DRAM - it's a world of difference in speed and total DRAM

You may have seen his 1066 and got to thinking your 1066(6)

            I know

I know that,if you read the first line again, you will see the pat it says "I can see you are looking for the PC3-8500 module". I was trying to make a point to a similar to almost exact system experience.

            Thanks

Saw your actual post on your rig and responded, just wanted to point out that your more likely to run into problems trying to run 8GB of 1333 as opposed to the more plug and play up of 4GB at 1066, sorry, should have explained clearer. My fault
