  • Help w/ RAM Configuration Settings

    Hi,

I need assitance with manualy setting my RAM for my system. It's currently not set-up and running on auto settings which I believe may be causing issues with my OS (Windows 7 64bit).

    Motherboard: GA-P55A-UD3R
    Memory: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (Ripjaws)
    CPU: Intel i5-750

I'm totally new to this and am not sure how to proceed. I noticed there's a config guide but nothing listed for the product combination above.

    Any chance someone could assist?

    Cheers

Manually set your base timings to 9-9-9-24, DRAM Voltage to 1.5, speed to 1600 and Command Rate/Timing to 2N (or 2T) if it shows the T instead of N). Let us know if that works, may need additional adjustments, i.e. tRFC to 110 or 127, and possible CPU/MC Voltage adjustments.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

        Hi guys,

Thanks for the swift reply. I tried to set it last night but it was affecting the pc. It would automatically shutdown when the pc was doing any significant work.

I did not change any other settings though apart from the memory. I will try again tonight with the CPU settings as well.

        Thanks again.

          Hi Guys,

Tried those settings and no good. PC kept shutting down. Went back to optimized defaults and the pc was okay. Now I'm getting lock-ups and bsods. The codes so far are 1a, 1a, and 1e. All i believe pointing to memory.

What can I do to troubleshoot my RAM?
