F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM on a LGA1366 X58 Mobo

I recently purchased 8gbs worth of F3-12800CL7D-4GBRM DDR3 ram planning on getting the 1366 board and i7 920 cpu a couple weeks or so down the road. I read on the information for the ram (on the newegg.com site) that although the ram is designed specifically for the P55 boards (LGA1156), it is also compatible with X58 chipsets (LGA1366) as well. I haven't purchased a board or cpu yet because I'm concerned that this ram will not be as compatible as I first thought with a X58 board. Should I just get an LGA1156 P55 board and cpu to go with this ram as it says quite clearly on the packaging or will an LGA1366 X58 board work just as well?

Should work fine w/ an X58, though I would suggest selecting a mobo that will support native dual channel, i.e. Gigabytes GA-EX58-UD3R
