  • Asus P6X58D Premium/[ Ripjaws ] F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH

    My question is fairly straightforward:

Will this ram, [ Ripjaws ] F3-16000CL9T-6GBRH, work with this motherboard, Asus P6X58D Premium?

The answer is yes it will work w/ the mobo...to run at 2000 though will depend on the CPU and will prob require an OC. At present 2000 is considered an OC RAM (not that you will be OCing the RAM itself, but to run at 2000 the system will require an OC. Future BIOS upgrades might make 2000 more of a stock speed.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Yeah this isn't a "probably need to OC." You will DEFINITELY need to OC and increase voltages to get this running at 2000mhz. I own this board and the ram as well and it took some pretty hefty overvolting to get this stuff even to boot, let alone run stable. Just be prepared to go well out of Intel's specs or you won't be able to run this at it's rated speed.

As a side note, you could run it slower than rated and tighten the timings. It's meant to do 9-9-9-24 and I was able to run these at 7-7-7-20 at 1600mhz. They could possibly even do 6 but I haven't tried that yet.
