  • evga x58 sli le/i7 920/gskill 10666cl7t system

I am trying to bring up this system. I can get everything working as long as I only use 1 stick, 2gig in only one of the 3 slots. Adding a 2nd stick the system will not boot to windows. Gets to were it should boot to windows and just does a mb reboot.
Both the CPU and Mobo have been swapped out, and still get same behavior so its not the cpu or mobo.
Only things left are memory (which is what I think) graphis card or power supply.

    Anyone have any suggestions?

If it boots w/ 1 stick, tryrunning memtest on each stick to see if any errors. Additional things to look for, do you have the latest BIOS? Might also see if you can borrow and try different sticks, different GPU (graphics card) and/or PSU.

Do you have the sticks in slots 1-3, if so might try 2-4. Might also check the vCore, the mobo tends to read low.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I ran windows memtest on each stick, they all passed. In previous board I flashed to latest BIOS, still had same problem. Dont have any way to borrow differnt GPU or sticks. I have a 500W power supply I could try but dont think thats enough watts.
I have sticks in 1-3, could try 2-4.
Are you suggesting to check VCore with a meter?

Upped Vcore to 2.7, did not make a difference.
sticks in 2-4 would not even get through POST.
I think I will try different memory brand.

Could you post your BIOS settings....you'll want Command Rate at 2T, 2N, tRFC at around 68, then the RAMs base timings and voltage...enter them all manually

are there 3 sticks shown after clearing CMOS?
it seems there is problem with memory slot or memory controller to make it unable to run triple channel
and oculd you tell us the complete model name?
              thanks
