  • Need help to maximize performance on F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ

    Hey Guys,

I checked this forum to help find some answers and I couldn't find any threads that talked about maximizing G.Skill F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ. Can you please help me? I plan to Over Clock my CPU after I find out what I need to set on my RAM. Also I am very new to setting up the BIOS.

    Here is my SPECS.

    Asus P6T MOBO
    Intel i7 920 CPU
    G.Skill F3-10666CL9T-6GBNQ PC3-10666 CL9-9-9-24
    2048MB X 3
    Corsair 750W PSU

    Thank you!

Start w/ entering your base timings manually, 9-9-9-24, DRAM Voltage 1.5, command rate 2T, and tRFC around 195 (in NS) or about 80 if not.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I want to follow those instructions but new to BIOS

      Hi again,

Thanks a lot for the reply, but I still have a problem. I don't know where to go to change things, I took a screen shot of the bios except I can't upload it so, i am going to just type it in. I am sorry, very new to the bios settings.

Sorry my phone didn't have the right wires to transfer the image so i had to type it instead. This is the last 1, it is the AI Tweaker Menu. I am guessing this is where i would change the voltage to 1.5?

            Thank You Very MUCH!

            Thanks a lot Gskill!

Everything went well except for one section that was different on my BIOS screen...
            "DRAM REF Cycle Time [68]"

On my BIOS screen my only Options are [60] and than [72]? Which one should I pick? I figured you put [68] so [72] was the closest so i put [72]. Also after doing so... I know this is not the place to ask but can you guys direct me to a link where i can learn to overclock my CPU? Its at default settings rite now.

            Thanks again.

Might take a look at these:

All are pretty good (lean towards the MaximumPC thread myself

                Another Question..

Thanks Tradesman for the LINKS, It helps a lot.

So first question is actually for Tradesman, you originally wanted me to set my timing for "9-9-9-24, DRAM Voltage 1.5, command rate 2T, and tRFC around 195 (in NS) or about 80 if not", the new POST you gave me the timing is different? "8-8-8-21"? On my memory packaging it states "CL9-9-9-24 1.5~1.6". Sorry for questioning you, I just wanted to know why it changed?

Second question for you G.skill, is it possible to OC my cpu and have my Ram at 1333mhz? I changed the base clock to 200 and ratio to 20 but I can't get 1333mhz.. is there a certain configuration I need to get it to that?

                Thanks again!
