  • Problems with my Trident X ?

    Hello everybody !

    I'm french so excuse my language faults.

    I recently acquired a G.Skill memory kit : http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f3-2400c10d-8gtx at www.materiel.net

    I tryed to use my G.Skill memory at the recommanded frequency with the XMP profil (2400Mhz 1.650V) but I suddently have freeze and BSOD with my computer.

    I' tried some tricks like as explain here (http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=11138) :

    -XMP, 2400 Mhz
    -VCCSA : 1.100 V
    -VDRAM 1.75 V

    ~~~~~~~~~~~~
    -Manual : 2400 Mhz (10-12-12-31-2T manually fixed)
    -VCCSA : 1.100 V
    -VDRAM : 1.75 V
    ...but I always have freeze (less than before)
    I tried differents settings like :
    2000 Mhz 10-12-12-31-2T at 1.65 V = BSOD
    2200 Mhz 11-12-12-31-2T at 1.65 V = BSOD
    2400 Mhz 10-12-12-31-2T at 1.70 V = BSOD
    1600 Mhz 10-12-12-31-2T at 1.50 V = BSOD
    1600 Mhz 11-11-11-28-1T at 1.65 V (auto) = OK
    I tried with the proc @stock but it's egal
    I remember you my system specs
    -Asus P8Z77-V LK (https://www.asus.com/fr/Motherboards/P8Z77V_LK/) BIOS version 1103 (07/16/2013)
    -Intel i5 3570K (ivy bridge) @4.4 H=Ghz /1.12 V
    -G.Skill Trident X F3-2400C10D-8GTX (2*4Go) actually at 1600 Mhz / 1.65 V (buy the 04/08/2013)
    -Corsair CX600M
    I tryed Memtest86 V4.3 (the latest) one by one and each test give me errors (more than 65000) when I use XMP profils (1 or 2) -2400 Mhz @ 1.650 V
    I don't think it's normal...
    Can you confirm it's a problem ?
    If it is one what can i do ?
    I tried to Join G.Skill technical service by mail at eurotech@gskill.com Monday, but no reply...
    Thank You
    Test one module at a time to see if each can pass the rated specifications of the RAM. If so, they should work fine together.
    Thank you
      I tried one stick by one stick. I tried with differents slots... but negative result. With the XMP profil or manually.
        Did you try XMP Profile, but set to DDR3-2133? Most likely the CPU is not capable of DDR3-2400, but DDR3-2133 should be no problem.
        If nothing works, feel free to send the RAM in for RMA exchange and a new kit should work better.
        Thank you
              Try w/ vCore 1.2, XMP on, profile 1 selected, VCCSA 1.15 and CPUVTT 1.14
                Hello !
                Sorry but I don't have CPUVTT with my P8Z77-V LK...
                It's not dangerous to put 1.15 at the VCCSA ant 1.75 to the V DRAM ?
                  That's right they include the MC voltage in with the VCCSA, DRAM 1.65 VCCSA 1.15 and yes it's safe
