  • Question about chipset compatibility

    I have the ASUS WS Revolution P6T6 with the X58 chipset. Can I use any of the newer memory modules that are typically use in the Z77 chipsets?

    Yes, DRAM is DRAM, some sets/series of sticks are more finely tuned to perform better w/ certain chipsets or CPU variants, but most any DRAM will run with most any enthusiast mobo (as long as you have a CPU that can carry the sticks (i.e. high freq or large amounts of DRAM). QVL lists put out by mobo makers are fairly worthless (IMO), see my QVL info thread here:
