  • Ripjaw 2x4gb won't run at 2133mhz / hang up on boot

Model of the motherboard: EVGA X79 FTW
    Model of the memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 2133 (PC3 17000) Desktop Memory Model F3-17000CL9D-8GBXM
Model of the CPU: Intel Core i7-3820 Sandy Bridge-E 3.6GHz (3.8GHz Turbo Boost) LGA 2011 130W Quad-Core Desktop Processor BX80619i73820

    What is the problem?
If I set my memory speed to 2133mhz, the computer will not get past POST. Video does not even turn on - remains in booting sequence forever. Need to hard-power-down and reset the CMOS. Works fine in 1833mhz though.

Might check that you have the latest BIOS, is not, upgrade, if so, try raising the CPUVTT voltage + 0.06 and the DRAM voltage + 0.05 at 2133
