  • F3-1600C10D-16GAO and Asus Rampage IV Extreme

    My pc configuration is below
    Mainboard: Asus Rampage IV Extreme
    Ram: F3-1600C10D-16GAO
    VGA: GTX 570 (no sli)
    PSU: 730 watt Aerocool
    I can?t install 4 x 8 ram, CPU-Z shows 32 gb ram but Windows shows 24 gb only
All my hardware brand new, checked all ram and ram slots individually, updated bios, enabled XPM but nothing
are they incompatible with x79 chipset and/or Asus Rampage IV Extreme?

Should be fine, what CPU are you using? Ensure each stick is firmly seated i.e. press in hard enough for the clips to lock by them selves

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Might try raising DRAM voltage + 0.05 and QPI/VTT the same

          Tried dram voltage but same
          What should vttddrr voltage value?
It's auto and options are min: 0.6250v max: 1.1000v standart: 0.750v increment: 0.00625v
Also couldn't find qpi in bios options

QPI/VTT is the VTTDDR try 1.100 or take it up slowly an increment at a time

Take a little higher, up through 1.2, and DRAM + another 0.05

                  can't unfortunatelly
                  VTTDDR cap is 1.1v max
and tried Dram slowly increased to 1.65v
                  still same

                    eurotech said try these values
                    a. DRAM Frequency = 1600Mhz
                    b. DRAM Voltage = 1.65V
                    c. VTTDDR Voltage (CHA, CHB, CHC, CHD) = 1.15V
                    d. CL Timing = 10-10-10 (tCL-tRCD-tRP) (All other timing settings on Auto)
                    e. Command Rate = 2
                    and still same

also they adviced me to try 32gb (4x8) kit instead of my 2 16 (2x8) kit for any compatibility issue
i'll try that if my vendor accept test before swap rams
but i wonder if i want upgrade to 64 gb, 2 of 32 gb kit will give me same problem

Would want a single 64 GB set, mixing sets, even to get to 16GB or 32GB is very problematic, going to 64 is even worse

there is no 64 gb kit in my country (Turkey) and have to mix anyway.
                          i'll take my chance with 2 x 32 gb
                          we'll see if i'm lucky
                          thanks for your help
