I found F3-1866C9Q-32GXM at online, and I?d like to know if it?s compatible with my motherboard, which can take up to 32 GB DDR3 RAM.

The G.Skill RAM Configurator does not list F3-1866C9Q-32GXM as compatible with my motherboard, nor is my motherboard listed as a compatible board on the F3-1866C9Q-32GXM page.

However, F3-1866C9D-16GXM does come up on the configurator as compatible with my motherboard. As far as I can tell, the only difference between the two is the number of 8GB sticks (4 vs. 2).

So, is F3-1866C9Q-32GX compatible with my motherboard?

    If not, why is that?

Or would I do just as well to get 32GB of F3-1600C9Q-32GXM (or something else you care to suggest) and then over clock it (what settings?) and save a few bucks?

Gaak, missed that on the cut and paste.

      Motherboard: Asus P8-Z77-V Pro
      CPU: i7 3770-k

Also possibly relevant: the Mobo Memory Qualified Vendors List (perhaps not current? GSkill memory modules listed aren't all on GSkill site.

Might want to take a look at my info thread on QVLs here:

        http://www.gskill.us/forum/showthread.php?t=10566

Basically, they test with whatever they have available and when they have time to test. With your combo you should have no problem with any single 32GB set, the 3770K can pretty much hanndle any 32GB set up through 2400 with no problem.
