Can I use GBXL RAM in my Asus motherboard?

I have an Asus P55D motherboard which has the 1155 Intel Processor and I know that I should use the GBRL RAM and not GBXL but the GBXL works just fine and benchmarks great. Can I still use it safely?

The Ripjaws X are fine with your mobo, there's no problem in using them
