  • RAM freeze with Extreme4-M&F3-17000cl9q-16gb

I just build a new system with the following:
    asrock x79 extreme4-m
    i7 3930k
    gsikl f3-17000cl9q-16gbzh
    ATI firepro v5800

This wsa listed as compatible on the g.skill website.

After building and installing Win8 I get a system freeze every 2-3 days.

I just ran the boot up MSFT memory test utility and it froze at 21 %. To me this says it is a memory issue.

All timing settings are the default, no overclocking.

    I would appreciate some assistance.

    Thanks,

    C. R. Booth

Do you have the latest BIOS version? Did you enable XMP in BIOS?

Without the proper settings, the system can be unstable.

    Let us know the result.

    Thank you

Identified as 800 where? See if the XMP option has Enable or something to that effect, if enabled it should offer the option to select a profile, select the 2133 or Profile 1 option

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

Test one module at a time to see if one may be bad causing problems.

              Thank you
