    Cpu: Intel i5 2500k
    Mobo: gigabytes ga-z77-d3h

    Looking for 8GB 1.5v

    Trying to find one that's compatible. suggestions?

      will (14900) 1866 MHz ripjawsX work with that motherboard? the Gigabyte GA-277-D3H.

        Yes, 1866 is fine, with your CPU you could run up to 32GB of 2133 if you wanted, the mobo itself will run up to 2400, but your need a 3570K or 3770K to run the 2400

          thanks much tradesman, i was a worried as neither the mobo or ram specifically list the other on the compatible list

            Might take a look at my info thread here:

            it talks about QVLs and what all get involved, basically most just test with what they have available and even then, testing doesn't mean a whole lot as they normally test all at either 1333 or 1600
