Odd question here;
I have ordered the above 8Gb kit.
My friend purchased the identical laptop.
Can I put in his laptop the stick from mine that I am replacing so that his will have 8Gb?

Would think it should be fine, yes - DRAM is auto detect and if it reads the one - the second of the same kind should be fine
