  • Ares vs Ripjaws X vs Sniper

Between these three types of ram offerings from Gskill, which one uses better chips? I can not seem to find the answer to this. All I find is that they are all the same except heat spreader preference. I am pretty sure this is not accurate so which one uses the best chip?

All three are fairly similar and will work well with all platforms, not sure what you are running, but briefly, the Ripjaws X were designed and optimized towards the 1155 socket/Sandy Bridge 2nd Gen CPUs, the Snipers are more general purpose, and the Ares more towards 1155/Ivy Bridge and Socket 2011 XMP 1.3. I've used all three on various platforms without problems. Overall I lean towards the Snipers for the versatility of OCing and even Under clocking....as chips go believe the three different lines use slightly different ICs, but the info isn't something that's released by GSkill to my knowledge

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

I'll agree to the Sniper line too. I have two sets, 4x4GB (2133) in an Intel system and 2x4GB in an AMD. The AMD system has the 1600Mhz flavor and I was able to OC it to 1760 with no problem, good since AMD is picky about such things.
      I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that.
