  • P45T-AD3 compatible with F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL?

I've been having problems with my computer Blue Screening. I'm getting the error IRQL_NOT_LESS_THAN_OR_EQUAL. I believe it is because my memory and motherboard aren’t compatible, or because I need to adjust the timing of the memory.

Model of the motherboard: P45T-AD3 Black Series
    Model of the memory: F3-12800CL9D-4GBRL (DDR3-1600 PC3-12800 2GBx2)
Model of the CPU: Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9770

Thank you in advance for any help!

Which Core 2 EXtreme? and what are you OCed to? To run the 1600 sticks at 1600 will need the FSB to at least 1600 and may need to add voltage to the DRAM and the NorthBridge (NB) Voltages

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

It's a intel core 2 extreme QX9770 (I'll edit my top message to show it)
I do not have it overclocked at all right now. Most everything is default. Sorry about the delay in response. It took me awhile to track down the model number because I didn't have it written down.

Right now the memory voltage is set to 1.50V (The default)

Will need to raise FSB to 1600, if no joy, raise the NB voltage + 0.10 to start

I'm having trouble figuring out how to raise the FSB to 1600 in the M.I.B. After I make any adjustments, it will not boot to the BIOS. What specific settings do I need to change to up the FSB to 1600?

I've also tried to just increase the FSB from .16 to .26 and I get the same results (no boot to BIOS)

Set FSB to 1600, add another 0.05 to NB voltage, raise DRAM voltage to 1.55 and set vCore (CPU voltage) to 1.32, try that, if it boots and is stable can look to lowering some of the voltages

I'm not having any luck. I either do not have a stable boot or I get a blue screen while I'm trying to install windows. I think my CMOS isn't the same as the one your describing because I can't set my settings to the same V you are describing.

The options and what they are currently sat are in my MIB are

              Performance Level: Enhanced
              Ratio CMOS Setting: 8
              CPU Over-clocking Func: enabled
              CPU Over-clocking freq: 400
              PCIE Over-clocking Func: 100
              Auto Detect DIMM/PCI Clk: Enabled
              Spread Spectrum: Enabled

DRAM Frequency: Auto (I've set this to 1600 MHz and I've yet to have a stable boot)
Configure DRAM Timing by SPD: Enabled
              DRAM Command Rate: Auto

              CPU Base Voltage 1.0875V
              CPU Voltage Normal
              Memory Voltage 1.50V
              NB Voltage 1.16V

I've increased the V and I'll have a stable boot, but I'll still blue screen during installation. I haven't seen a way to increase the FSB for the CPU?

Try CPU Base Voltage 1.17, Memory voltage 1.55, NB voltage 1.22 and let me know

                  Attempt #1
Increased CPU Base Voltage to 1.1845 (closest it would allow me to 1.17)
Increased Memory Voltage to 1.60 (increments in .1)
Increased NB Voltage to 1.21 (increments in .05 up to 1.26)
Results: Stable boot but blue screen during installation.

                  Attempt #2
Increased CPU Base Voltage to 1.2335 (next option)
                  Increased Memory Voltage to 1.70
Increased NB Voltage to 1.26 (max)
Results: Stable boot but blue screen during installation.

How about with a single stick? To test...

During install, are you telling it to format the drive? Might try a different cable to drive or a different port
