Problems with memory total

Hello,

I have an Asus P6T6 with an Intel i7 980x cpu.

12gb of G.Skill Ripjaws memory (3 x 2gb) PC3 2000 memory.

My computer only sees 8gb of the memory. It runs well and is stable, but still not correct.

Can anyone help me?

Thanks Andrew! That would have been my first suggestion also...unless you are running Win7 Basic or Win7 Starter versions - they have an 8GB limit
