  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK conflict with Gigabyte board

    Hi,
I have a conflict between the ram memory and the motherboard. I need help/support in order to address this situation.
Following are the components in conflict:
    G. Skill 4GB 1066MHz memory kit (2x2GB) Model: F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
GIGABYTE GA-MA790GP-DS4H Motherboard (BIOS Version F7I)
    AMD Phenom II X6 1100T
Please let me know the recommended memory settings in the Motherboard for the memory to work properly.
    Thanks and regards,

I'd go 5-5-5-15 2N and 2.1 for DRAM Voltage, you may need to raise the CPU/NB voltage slightly (+ .05 or so to start)

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

      F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK conflict with Gigabyte board

      Hi,

      I tried your recommended settings:

      CAS# latency - 5T
      RAS to CAS R/W Delay - 5T
      Row Precharge Time - 5T
Minimum RAS Active Time - 15T
      1T/2T Command Timing - 2T
      TwTr Command Delay - 4T
      Trfc0 for DIMM1 - 127ns
      Trfc2 for DIMM2 - 127ns
      Write Recovery Time - 8T
      Precharge Time - 3T
Row Cycle Time - 24T (also increased to 42T)
RAS to RAS Delay - 4T
      Increase DDR2 Voltage to +0.300V
Northbridge Volt Control +0.3V for 8GB, 4 sticks
      CPU NB VID Control +0.025V

However, the motherboard only works or recognized one Ram dim, as soon as you add more memory starts to beeps about 14 times. I want to install the 8GB that I just bought.

      Anything else to try?

      Thanks again,

If runs with 1 stick try running Memtest on each one in slot 1, if they test OK as singles, I'd check the CPU for thermail compound on bottom or in socket and for bent/broken pins....also if you have or could borrow other sticks could try them and see if it may be the mobo or mobo slots
