  • 2x2GB Showing up as 3.3GB Usable

So I purchased F2-6400CL5D-4GBPQ from Newegg recently. When installed in a pair it shows up in windows as 4GB (3.25 usable). When installed separately they show up as 2GB. Is this a bad pair? Of course I have Win7x64 installed. Also I have messed with Bios settings. When bios boots it says 3325M on POST. Again should I RMA threw Newegg? Does Gskill offer an Advanced Replacement program?

Also Board is Asus P5Q Pro

Do you have the latest BIOS? You may want to test each stick individually w/ Memtest....also what cpu?

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:

yes I have the latest BIOS. I will test each stick.

I think its strange that each stick separately reads the correct amount but when installed in pair it is wrong.

Am thinking the BIOS may be assigning some of the DRAM elewhere, i.e. for video, but that seams a bit much
