  • First Build Problems

I have a DFI Lanparty DK P45-T2RS Plus, iP45, S 775, PCI-E (x16), DDR2 1066/1200 and purchased G.Skill PK 4GB (2x2GB) DDR2 PC2-8500C5 1066MHz Dual Channel Kit but am having trouble getting it to run at 1066 it seems to want to run at 800.

Is it compatible and any ideas whats going wrong...

sorry if its a bit of a noob question but never built a pc or needed to fiddle with bios so much

Most all P45 based mobos are set to default for PC2 800 RAM. Go into the BIOS and manually change the RAM speed to 1066 , the timing settings to the avertised sets - i.e. 5-5-5-15 or 6-6-6-18, whatever set you have, then make sure you set the RAM voltage. DFI, I believe come preset at 1.8volts, (JEDEC Standard), most all 1066 RAM of GSkill runs at 2.0 or 2.1, so check your RAM specs. Save and exit the BIOS, Boot, and it should show correctly under system info.

Pls offer comments on support I provide, HERE, in order to help me do a better job here:
