  • GA EP45-UD3R / 500FSB / F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ - impossible?

    hi gskill team,

    i want to overclock my system and i thought i have good hardware.
    but i cant get my system stable even with 440FSB and 9.5 Multi.
    Now i wanted to try to run the RAMs at 1000 with 500FSB.
    But i always get a BSOD while booting windows7 x64 and i cant pass Memtest86+ 4.11 Test 7. I tried everything. I'm even on Slot 2&4 now.

    Do i have bad RAMs that need RMA?

    This template is for testing 500FSB.

    Motherboard = EP45-UD3R
    BIOS Version = F12
    Ram = 2x 2GB G.Skill F2-8000CL5D-4GBPQ

    I'd suggest getting the DRAM stable at say a 400 FSB first then gradually raise your OC, if you can't get stable at 440 not sure why trying 500....might want to lower the vCore, the 8500 is rated to 1.3625 and is relative safe up through 1.4, but I've seen a couple fry at 1.41 to 1.42...if you can get a good set for 400, i.e. lowest voltages possible to remain stable, then you have a baseline to work from as you increase the OC and can raise voltages accordingly

      the trick was to lower the mch reference. here is my template. right now i do my primecustom 10h+ with 500x8 = 4GHz
      i tested the ram already with memtest86+ and all tests without any errors. damn good rams
