looking to pop more ram into my laptop for things like Virtual DJ and running Second life and a few Games. want to use 800mhz ddr2 but I was just looking at ram on newegg for this future upgrade and well... it seems there's peeps having issues with the 8chip ram. any recommendations for this laptop? it's not too urgent as this upgrade won't be for a while as my first upgrade to this thing will probably either be a raid or an SSD.

Your particular model requires high density 4GB modules. If you notice on the G.Skill mdoules, there are 8 chips on each side. Your laptop requries memory with 4 chips on each side. The company I know that makes this chip is Samsung. It is what HP offers, but of course at $550 a piece...
