I just bought these from newegg.com. I have a ASUS P5Q Pro mobo. The only concern I have is that they have the notch in the center of the chip or otherwise they wont fit on my motherboard. Do these chips have the notch in the center?

Yes, The P5Q Pro takes DDR2 sticks which are 'notched' differently from DDR or DDR3 to eliminate installing the wrong type DRAM into a mobo....the sticks you bought are in fact DDR2 as indicated by the 2 in the 'F2' at the start of the DRAM model ID string
