  • GA-EP45-UD3R + 8GB F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK 800:4,4,4,12 Ideal Settings

    Q8400 @3.2Ghz + GA-EP45-UD3R v1.1 + 8GB F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK
I have this combination working fine at 800:4,4,4,12. It gives me a Passmark memory score of 1891. I'm very happy with it and don't even care to try it at 1066.
BTW, when I was running only 2 sticks (4GB) at 1066:5,5,5,15 my Passmark memory score was only 1180. So it improved by 50%!
When I set up the BIOS, I was using suggestions for how to get this ram working at 1066. But I don't know what the ideal settings are for running it at 800.
    Here are my settings:
    DRAM ......... 2.12V
    MCH Core ... 1.4V
    ICH Core .... 1.2V
    Static tRead ... 8

    Questions:
    Should Command Rate be 2T?
What should tRFC be? (it's 52)
    Any other suggestions?

    Thanks.

If your stable at CR of 1T, stick w/ it, that's higher performance than 2T, tRFC is basically a stabilizing setting and doesn't really affect performance that much, if any. You could try bringing it down a click or two at a time, but to be honest, don't think it's worth your time

OK. Now my Memset image is showing up.
I'm currently at CR = 2T with no problems.

Sounds good, I'd stay with it, if you like to tinker, write down your current settings and have at it. Running 800 @CL4 is probably outperforming the stock timings and 1066 speed anyway,
