  • F2-8500CLD5D-4GBPK on GA-EP45-DS4 dual channel?

    Hello,
i have problems with my Gigabyte Board and dual channel

    Motherboard: GA-EP45-DS4 Rev. 1.0 with Bios F8
    RAM: F2-8500CLD5D-4GBPK
    CPU: Intel Q9450 2.66Ghz.

If i try to install the two 2gb modules in dual channel system dosnt even start.
If i install them in none dual channel (Bank 1 & 2) my system works but sometimes i get errors resulting in memory dump (blue screen).

    Perfomance Enhance Standard
Timings are set to 5-5-5-15 by Bios
    Memory Frequenzy @ 1066
    Everything else auto

What settings should be used? Thanks in advance for your help.

    Hello,

did you specified dram voltage manually in bios ? By default it is 1.8v on you're motherboard, so you need to add +0.3v.
Hope it will works for you.

      updated bios to F9
manually set dram voltage to 2.1v
      manually set timings to 5-5-5-15
system starts with one module, but not with two in dual channel (blank screen)
even if i set SPD to 3.20B it doesn?t boot up
only with both modules in single channel insertet (Bank 1&2 or 3&4)
I hope to get it working, pleas help me

it seemed somthing wrong with your memory controller, which is in northbridge chipset
did you have another pair of memories to test?

          Perfomance Enhance Standard
          Timings are set to 5-5-5-15

Dual channel ok... memory controller seems ok
