    1066 with 8GB may not work. Try increasing the NB Voltage to 1.40V and tRFCs to 195 and see if that will help. Otherwise for 8GB, I would suggest operating them at DDR2-800 wiht 4-4-4-12 timings. Don't forget Command Rate should always be 2.

      8gb is running rock solid on 1066mhz with the timmings in auto. I guess it comes down to ? Does it make more sense to have 8gb @ 1066mhz. or @ 1200mhz. with 4gb ? What would be best for me ?

        it depends on what kind of applications you used to use
        if you usually need more than 4GB to run some softwares, 8GB would be better
