  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK on GA-MA785GPM-UD2H

    Hi,

I found F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK is very unstable to run 1066 Mhz on GA-MA785GPM-UD2H with Windows 7 Ultimate.

    Motherboard: GA-MA785GPM-UD2H
CPU: AMD Athlon X2 Dual Core 245
    RAM: F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK

I have tried BIOS settings as follows but no luck to get it working well :

    CAS Latency - 5T
    RAS to CAS R/W Delay - 5T
    Row Precharge Time - 5T
Minimum RAS Active Time - 15T
    1T/2T Command Timing - 2T
    TwTr Command Delay - 4T
    Trfc0 for DIMM1 - 127.5ns
    Trfc2 for DIMM2 - 127.5ns
    Trfc1 for DIMM3 - 127.5ns
    Trfc3 for DIMM4 - 127.5ns
    Write Recovery Time - 6T
    Precharge Time - 3T
    Row Cycle Time: 25T
RAS to RAS Delay - 5T

Does anyone know what is correct BIOS configuration for this mother board ?

    Many thanks,

Do you have the RAM voltage at 2.1? think your mobo defaults to 1.8, if that's not it could raise row cycle time to around 32..
and do you have latest BIOS?

I have latest BIOS F4. Only 2.0 / 3.0 voltage options is available in my mobo. I tried voltage 2.0 with above setting. It caused system reboot after 15 minutes running. I got error message (blue screen) saying something like "Dumpping memory ......"

      thanks,

No, there is no HT voltage. I only can see HT Link Width / HT Link Frequency. My board uses Award BIOS.
I already download latest version, F4 which release on 2009/09/16 from Gigabyte.

Thank you very much. It works well after I change the BIOS setting. I have one more question. Is above setting can apply to 8G (2 sets of F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK) as well ?

The setting should basically remain the same, would possibly have to raise tRFC again.
