  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK and asus P5Q turbo

    hi all ,

    i have one probleme to work in dual channel with this ram

    i test this one 3 motherboard

    2 x Mobo Asus p5Q Pro Turbo
    1 x Mobo Asus P5Q Turbo

    the probleme is on the Dimm B1/B2 and dual channel mode .


    If i use the memory on Dimm A1-A2 the pc start and work fine memtest no error .
    If i use the memory on Dimm B1-B2 i can see the pc run but only black screen no boot

    So that's the test :

    A1-A2===OK
    A1-B1====KO
    A2/B2====KO
    A1/B2====KO
    A2-B1====KO


    I set the setting manualy in bios Timing 5-5-5-15

    NorthBridge voltage 1,30V
    Southbridge Voltage Auto
    Cup voltage 1,35V
    Cup x 6,5
    FSB 533
    Frequence ram : 1068mhz
    Ram Voltage : 2.10V
    Northbridge fsb : 200,333,400 ( Auto)

    So if one guy can tell me why i cannot run in dual channel please on 3 mobo ( the ram don't have any probleme )

    i test after clear cmos defaut seeting too without OC

    One memory on

    A1=OK
    A2=OK
    B1=KO
    B2=KO

        You have the sticks in slots 1,3 (yellow ones)? (I don't have a manual handy), Those should be the prime slots for dual channel and it should recognize it as such. There may be a toggle in the BIOS to set dual mode but don't remember one.

          Have you tried default settings? Load optimal defaults and simply see if it will boot up. The memory should be installed int he same color slots. I believe A1 + B1 or A2 + B2.

            Dual channel mode on the mobo is A1-B1 or A2-B2
            Yellow Is A1-B1

            whith load defaut setting in A1-B1 don't start

              The bios Is same of P5Q pro or deluxe mobo i think

                Send the memory in for a different set, you should have no issues with any of those boards.

                  i tell you just the problem

                  can you tell me why i cannot use the dual channel ?
                  what i need change in the setting to work in dual channel ?

                    Return that set for a new set. Or post pictures of your BIOS so i can see if you are missing anything. Otherwise with the settings you have changed, or default, the computer should be able to at least boot up.

                      the boot with defaut setting or without defaut setting start only if i put the ram on slot A1-A2


                      only black screen if i use the slot b1 or B2 i send you soon the picture from the bios

                        Well i send you the bios picture with my config that's my bios actualy the ram is on Dimm A1-A2

                        Remember Always if i put the ramm on Dimm B1 or B2 i get the black screen i have rum memtest and prim95 one Dimm A1-A2 for the ram Without error !

                            Try different CPU settings and see if it will work.

                              Nothing changed

                              i can use all setting and change what i want in Dimm A1-A2 the computer reboot and work fine ....

                              But after the switch A1-B1 or A2-B2 or B1-B2 he don"t start i see just a black screen always and always ..... 3 Motherboard for that so ..... i buy what ? a playstation ?
