Thankyou for getting back to me...

      however...

M4A78-E and M4A78T-E are totally different in terms of RAM usage though?

      M4A78-E uses DDR2
      M4A78T-E uses DDR3

(according to the box and website anyways)

I tried those setting and it still refuse to boot

Manually set to stock timings 5-5-5-15....but, try voltage at 2.0, should probably be stable, then try reducing voltage a bit at a time. Had a pair of these once and there was no way I could get them to run at i.8 volts on either an Intel or an AMD setup. AMD can possibly even need a bit more.

Thanks for trying to help me..

These are things I've done so far..

          1. all on auto @ 1066 2.0-2.2 v = blue screen when boot

          2. 5-5-5-15 (other settings on auto) @ 1066 2.0-2.2v = blue screen when boot

          3. 6-6-6-18 (other settings on auto) @ 1066 2.0-2.2v = blue screen when boot

          disabled ddr powerdown..
          no overclocking
advanced clock calibration off and on

no luck so far.. been trying for 2 weeks

im just surprised that i can get the cheaper team xtreem dark 1066 2GBx2 to run at 6-6-6-18 1066 1.9v fully stable.. T_T

              tRFC was set to auto...

didnt want to touch that part as i heard people said i should leave it as it is unless im running 4 sticks of ram on the system.

if you could give me more details that would help a lot.. :-)

im doing memtest and prime95 just to make sure this pair is not faulty...

              thanks to you all

What is your current tRFC? AMD CPU's can be extremely tricky to get to work with 1066 and above RAM, some CPUs hate 1066 or higher. In many cases you have to relax the timings and/or raise the tRFC quite abiot higher than you would with a comperable Intel CPU (which is the primary reason I stay away from AMD for new builds)

                  TWTR 7
                  TRFC0 127.5
                  TRFC1 75

I also notice that cpu-z show EPP 533, the TRC value as 48... my MB has maximum 42.. would this be the problem?

Could be....might try upping the tFRC to it's next step, think it will be 190ish from the 127.5 and/or give the CPU a bit more power

List the complete timings, I noticed this motherboard does not pick up the correct settings very well. TWTR 4 TRFC0 195 TRFC1 127.5

Or if you could post screen shots that would make it much faster to troubleshoot.

                      Thank you

In the same boat here. Running 8GB on the M4A78-E. Default BIOS works fine.. any updates on this setup? Anyone make mods to the BIOS, that actually worked?

Thanks! Just installed that. I just recently upgraded to 8GB mem, Windows 7 Professional 64bit, so I'll try these configs again.

I attempted making the appropriate changes, which resulted in a blue screen before windows could even load. Here were my changes:

                              DRAM Freq - 1067
                              DRAM Voltage - 2.0
                              HT Voltage - 1.4V
                              NB Voltage - 1.4V

                              DCT Unganged Mode - Enabled
                              Power Down Enabled - Disabled

                              DRAM Command Rate - 2T

                              TCL - 5
                              TRCD - 5
                              TRP - 5
                              TRTP - 6
                              TRAS - 15
                              TRC - 42
                              TWR - 12
                              TRRD - 6

                              TWTR - 7
                              TRFC0 - 195
                              TRFC1 - 127.5

                              Any ideas?
