  • F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK In a MSI P35 Neo2-FR / FIR

Hey There Having Issues Installing my RAM
Motherboard is MSI P35 Neo2-FR / FIR Motherboard Specs

Memory is two of the F2-8500CL5D-4GBPK Sets
    DDR2-1066 CL5-5-5-15 2.0-2.1v

First Installed all 4 at default settings went into instant BSoD
Second Tried Just one set worked for a bit then BSoD
Was also able to run a few passes of the memory diagnostic tool with no errors
Tried Both set in this manner and both gave the same result

then Tried with the Following Settings
    tCL 5
    tRCD 5
    tRP 5
    tRAS 15
    tWR 8
    tWTR 4
    tRRD 4
    tRTP 4

    DRAM Voltage 2.10V
    NB Voltage 1.40V
Tried with all 4 sticks in and computer would not even boot
Tired the only 2 in and got to the windows Boot screen and BSoD

BIOS on the Motherboard has been update very recently
Not sure what else to do...
    Thanks In advance

Test one module at a time at the rated specifications to see how they perform.

NB Voltage is fine on AUTO when testing with less than 4 modules.

    Thank you

Try resetting the CMOS to defaults, then try with all four, still no joy? Let us know what CPU, what your FSB is along with your BIOS settings

Tried again with all four... Still "No Joy"
Processor is a Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600

The following is how the Bios Is set this is currently running with my original sticks of ram hence to the different speed settings

Do you have the latest BIOS? There is a problem if the system will not boot with one module at a time..

            Thank you

Yes I have The Latest BIOS One of the first things I checked due to the fact of working with 4 modules. The System Runs fine with my original ram.
Could the problem be a Compatibility issue?
Or is it something haywire on the Motherboard?

I'd try setting the FSB to 333, vCore 1.3, the DRAM to 1066, set the base timings to spec, CR to 2T, DRAM voltage 2.1, NB Voltage 1.33 and two sticks in slots 1-3
