  • Need help w/CPU cooler

    New Build Finally
This is what I put together:
    Mobo: Asus M4A89GTD PRO/USB3
    CPU: AMD Phenom 1090T X6,
    Memory: G.SKILL Ripjaws Series 16GB (4 x 4G 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800)
PSU: Corsair Enthusiast TX V2 Series 850-Watt 80 Plus BronzeCertified High Performance PSU
DVD: Lite-On LightScribe 24X SATA DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Drive
    Case: Cooler Master HAF 932
    CPU Cooler: H80 Liquid cooled
    HDD: 300GB WD VelociRaptor 10K RPM 32MB Cache SATA6GB
GPU: EVGA 01G-P3-1460-KR GeForce GTX 560 (Fermi) 1GB 256-bit GDDR5 PCI Express 2.0 x16 HDCP Ready SLI Support

Also those that may have some input on the HAF932. It has the normal 4 usb 2.0's on front and there is an insert with two USB 3.0 on front. But I have no where to plug in on the Mobo. Any ideas???

The H80 failed on me, sent it back. So Now I need some help on what to get for a new cpu heatsink/cooler. Im trying to keep it under $60-$70.
And of course I have the 4 G.Skill sticks with the heatsinks on them, So Ill need the clearance.
The reason I am going cheap on the cooler is with the HAF 932 I have enough room for another mobo in there. The air flow is great with a top fan huge side fan and a back fan. So circulation is great.

Any suggestions on CPU heatsink/Cooler for less than $70 that will clear the memory?????

But the most urgent is CPU/Cooler that will clear mem.

BTW...Thx G.Skill Techs for all the help

      Coolers

Thx for the response. I was looking at the Scythe Kozuti Low Profile. With my ripjaws on my Mobo, would I have enough clearance???? Also ZALMAN CNPS9900MAX-B. Would both of those be a good choice for my mobo w/ the ripjaws???? Those were the ones that were in my price range. After a while I get eye strain from looking at the thousands of coolers.

So Tman, with the Scythe Kozuti Low Profile, I should have enough room so the cooler doesnt hit the G.Skill ripjaws???

                Scythe Kozuti Low Profile

Scythe Kozuti Low Profile was way to low. Hit everything.
Right now I have a pretty decent Rocketfish with two vfans on the cpu...Not bad 30' C.
Its temporart though...Man I hate new egg...Now I am out the extended warrenty plus I have to go through the PIA of shipping it back......I do have a Question. I added another WD 7200 rpm 300GB hard drive for storage..
I get a mem error when I run a long program like a scan...ANy idea...Its way to long...says something about memory...Ill write it down mext time...
But for $29 for the rocketfish which...lol...doesnt cover the entire cpu like others...Im still, under a load sticking around 30-32 cel.

Could be from IE, try going into IE and the Tools menu and uncheck

Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > “Enable memory protection to help mitigate online attacks” option."

then check Win update for updates

Settings for the bios with the mem

Hi, I know Im in the wrong section but since Ive been dealing with you guys perhaps you can give me the simple version . Ive read the clocking of the particular memory and with so many posts I am a bit confused.
I have the build altogether and have upgraded the bios to 2301.
Now I am reading the DDR3 bios settings forum and I am totally confused. I am not trying to OC my mem, All I really want to know is should I change in the bios where it says 1333MHz to 1600MHz and set the timings to CAS# to 9, RAS#(tRCD) 9, RAS(trp)9, Cycletime(trc) 24
Corrrect...Like I said I just wanty to gety the build stable. After the new Bios the timings were all 11, But stabalized the system.
                      Is that all I should do with the Ripjaws Series 16GB(4x4G 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600(PC31280) ??????

I reset everything back to auto and this is what I get for DRAM timing

                            Timings should be 9-9-9-24

                            DRAM Voltage 1.50V

                            CPU/NB Offset = 1.20V
                            NB = AUTO
