Does Gskill Wigidash work on Linux? Is there Gskill Wigidash software for Linux? If you came here by searching for these on Google, yes, you're in the right place! Please continue.

The answer you're looking for is yes, it works, but how?

About 5-6 months ago, I completely stopped using Windows (my Linux history is older, I was only using Windows on the desktop) and started using Cachy OS. Yes, I knew there was no official software for Linux, but while researching, I came across the ELMORLABS GitHub page, and yes, there was software for Linux there. I tested it, but it wasn't as good as the Windows application. Since it was open-source, I started developing it using the existing code, but the code structure was very limited, and I couldn't get it to the level I wanted. It restricted me in every way and didn't meet my needs.

So what happened? I love having a hardware monitor on my computer; I couldn't give it up. So I decided to start from scratch. I reverse-engineered a driver from Windows and managed to send a red screen to the display in the first test, but there was still something missing I needed an application now!!!

I wrote down and planned the entire process; implementing Wigidash features was straightforward. However, without the hardware monitor design screen found in AIDA64, running the screen didn't make sense to me.

I rebuilt the project from scratch, removed all the processes, and the "Wigidash for Linux" project notes were ready. I started, and currently, my project is at 70% completion but is usable.????

Yes, yes, this is a completely different application structure that both hosts content specific to Wigidash and incorporates something similar to the AIDA64 hardware monitoring system. At each stage, when I added a feature, I wanted to add more, and within the freedom of AIDA64, I created a structure that incorporates Wigidash features.

I made the Wigidash panel fully functional and freely usable without the need to pay for additional software. It contains every detail within itself, including the ability to read all the computer's sensors.

Sorry, Windows users this is only for Linux!!!

Although it's not available right now, it will be completed for Linux users very soon, and I'll let you know!!!

Your ideas are very valuable to me at this stage. Please share with me what you would like to see in this panel and tell me what you would prefer to use, and I'll try to add it.

This is awesome, one of the last things stopping me switching to Linux was not being able to monitor my temps and cpu/gpu use easliy during rendering, i look forwards to trying it out when you realease it.

Also, as the person who made and shared the AIDA skin for the dash (some of which you are using here), please please make it so the images/elements can be dragged around with a mouse, instead of just the up-down-left-right thingy in AIDA. If you do this i will almost definatley make a v2 for Linux using your software once i make the switch.

Other feature requests would be proper dpi scaling for the softwares UI, as well as per core access, i would want to recreate my own one which looks like so:

This was interesting. I was using your theme on Windows, and I really love this theme. I was trying to add a theme prepared in AIDA 64, and today I managed to add your theme for the first time. However, because the sensor structure is different, it can take the main components of the theme without any problems, and it can also take some sensors, but other than that, it needs to be rearranged. This was a very challenging process for me. I wanted to be able to add AIDA64 themes because this was a critical point for me; it would provide access to a very extensive theme library for users

I hope this application turned out exactly as you wanted.

I'm open to suggestions because this was a challenging application that required a lot of thought.

Thats fantastic, so much easier to work with this way! Aida theme compatability would be a true win though, as like you said this would open up your software to all those skins that already exist.

Personally i would prefer your software due to ease of use in the UI (drag/drop), over the AIDA one.

I think the best way would be for your software if possible to allow using Aida skins, but also allow for creating them in a matching format, or even its own exclusive format.

In the end though, the main thing is the access to sensors via the dash, and it looks like your very much on the right track already, will be nice to be finally free of both AIDA and Windows, and your solution here is looking very strong.

Oh and heres the .gslcd file for my one above (with all the cpu cores) for AIDA incase you need it for testing: https://drive.google.com/file/d/12KX...ew?usp=sharing

          Hello, update news.

It can now automatically detect the CPU model and list all CPU features,

          -Total Cores

          -Total Threads

-Themes designed in AIDA 64 have achieved a high level of transfer accuracy.

The theme design components are now positioned with 100% accuracy based on the coordinate information provided by the theme file. There was an issue because the sensor information used in AIDA 64 themes differed from the sensor communications on the Linux side. Now, it automatically detects the AIDA 64 sensor structure and adapts it to the Linux equivalent. Especially since the disk system structure is completely different, like Windows C: D:, the Linux equivalent consisted of names like root and gaming. This issue is automatically resolved, and the disk information in the theme is automatically directed to the disk information in the application. (It was a difficult process.)

The only issue currently is that even on Windows, some information from different devices or even the same computer after formatting might appear slightly misaligned. This is the only remaining problem, which is already a known coordinate issue in AIDA64. However, it might be easier to transfer in simpler themes (I haven't tried a simple theme; I prefer complex tasks).

-It can automatically display CPU, motherboard model and manufacturer information, GPU model, and driver information. (I used to write this manually before)

-The media player interface has been redesigned from scratch and offers more freedom in terms of dimensions.

-The weather application has been redesigned from scratch and now has better options and freedom. Weather information can be updated based on user selection from 2 different locations.

And more is on the way. I've included all the good ideas in my work plan to make it much more user-friendly.

Wow it sounds like its shaping up really nicely, loving the fact you added weather, i wonder, since AIDA has no native support to display FPS, it would be nice if you could add that too, currently you need MSI Afterburner + RTSS + AIDA to show this on the dash. Would be a nice addition for a sensor if its possible.

Other things that would be nice to have is a list of say the top 3 V/RAM hogging apps, same for CPU, and for internet max speed acheived (with maybe a speedtest) and total tally of up/down. For more ideas you may want to check out Rainmeter for some insipiration if you havent already, it does alot of the stuff i mentioned here.

I think this will be one of the feature updates you'll like the most.

The code part is ready, and there are features I haven't added yet. I'm adding them step by step and testing them.

And there will definitely be FPS value tracking (a must-have for me).

There are a few features you suggested, and I can implement your other suggestions too. Those were great ideas that hadn't occurred to me. Thank you.

Wow thats really amazing, the custom widget maker is really mature already, seems you put alot of work in to that and it shows! The hidden buttons at the end are an excellant idea, very useful as overlays for say a clock or gauge. One thing i may suggest is, allowing drag drop for images in to your app, e.g. i make a graphic in photoshop, then be able to drag it straight in to your open software, avoiding a file-open-find-select, would be nice for quality of life, especially as you might want to do that often. Anyway this is looking great, i look forwards to seeing more progress updates.
