  • Bootproblem with SSD

    Hello Users,
I've been using a SSD device since nearly one year.
    It is a G.SKILL Model=FM-25S2S-115GBPE, FwRev=4.2
But since ca. 3 months I have the issue with starting my Operating System.
In fact sometimes I have to press up to 20 times on the Powerbutton to start U10.04.

-- in the beginning of the day --
Start: I press the Power Button .. then the Notebook shows the Bios Logo
and at this point nothing is going on .. (The Harddrive LED shines steady)
so I hold the Power Button for several seconds and the Notebook goes off
    then I go to Start
and this repeats on and on until (The Harddrive LED blinks) and Ubuntu boots ...
    --- end --
If I wait for ca. 20-30 seconds after one press on Power Ubuntu beeps and print:
Error 0200 Failure Fixed Disk 0
Error 2110 HD00 Hard Disk Drive Error
    Press F1
    --
Furthermore important to say ist that if I reboot between short times for example in 2 minutes the system starts immediately.

The good thing is U10.04 starts always but the many attempts are annoying
But I had not used trim on U10.04 because the kernel doesn't support trim.
Since few days I 've installed a newer kernel and I trimmed several times succesfully.

Free drive space is up to 20 percent.

    What can I do?

    Thanks

      Result

      Hello,
I did the secure erase with parted magic and installed the firmware 4.2 with WinBootCD again.
      Then I installed Ubuntu 12.04.
I finished and It seemed to be fine.
Later I installed all my other programs.
      I halted.
      I waited ca. 1 h.
      Then I started the laptop.
And the same occurred as before.
      "Error
      0200: Failure Fixed Disk 0
      Error
2110: HDD (Hard Disk Drive) read Error
      Press F1 to Setup"

      What can I do now?
