  • Drive being detected and then rebooting and not being detected

    Hi All,

I have a strange issue with my Sniper 60GB SSD. Sometimes it will boot ok and at other times the drive isn't recongzined in the BIOS. CystalDiskInfo doesn't detect the drive at all. I have tried to replace the SATA cable with a new one but the issue still happens. I am going to try another SATA port and see if that helps. Does it look like there is an issue with the drive? I also have version 4.2 of the FW installed.

    Thanks,
    Nick

    Update

I switched the SATA port and the same issue happened. I disconnected the power and port, restarted the computer and it is working again. I have a molex 4 pin to SATA power connector, could that be the issue? If it was it wouldn't work one time and then work the other (of I would be hearing sparks).

      Hi Npolite
you can checking the health by HDTune, and backup all of the important data always, do you have another system you can try it with the SSD drive? If your SSD can't detect by BIOS, the only way is RMA, sorry for the inconvenient.
