  • Phoenix Pro got Slow?

I have been running various SSD benchmark programs to see if or when my 120GB Phoenix Pro drive slowed down. It finally happened and I am curious what caused it since I hardly use it. Here is what I did between "good" and "bad" benchmark.

    1. Removed drive (used as boot drive) from a GA-EP45-UD3P MB/ E8500 system.
    2. Installed drive in a P8Z68-V Pro MB/2600K system as a data storage drive.
    3. Deleted partition and recreated partiton using W7 Disk Management.
    4. Copied a 45GB VMPlayer file to SSD.
    5. Ran VMPlayer a couple of times using the file on the SSD.
    6. Ran OTTO and AS SSD benchmarks. AS SSD score dropped from ~430 to ~380!
    7. OTTO performance also dropped across the board.

SSD Life says I have 100% usage left in the drive - so I'm not wearing it out with a lot of use. I really wanted to avoid the Parted Magic routine but I'm there.

    Hi,

i think the Parted Magic is the only to solve your problem, secure & erase is the only solution>>>providing by Sandforce.
