  • phoenix pro 60gb FW upgrade question

    I have a brand new phoenix pro bought from last year but never open to use,it probably have a 2.x fw on it, my question is can i jump straight to 4.2 or do i have to flash to 3.x first ? thanks

      fresh installed win7 out of the box today....flashed to 4.2 fw.... run WEI got a 5.9, follow sticky enabling manual trim.... re-run WEI still get 5.9. what a joke for SF drive.my vertex 60gb even better than this got a 7.3 for wei. how dissapointing.

        Hi,

        did you used IDE or AHCI mode? also, you may need to check the following link for window 7 tweaks.

          thanks for replying, AHCI,i owned 2 vertex ssd over a year so i'm very experienced with ssd tweaks. ATTO show the correct speed though. 190read/90write for AS SSD bench. I'm gonna try install Intel RST see if it helps.

            install intel RST today and got a 7.7 for WEI. I didn't know intel RST performs better than Microsoft ahci drivers, hopefull this drive will serve me well
