Hi there,
I have a g.skill phoenix pro (120gb) (firmware 2.1) in my mac pro since september 2010.
Since 2 days it always stops working after 4-5 mins.
My Mac tells me, that a drive has disappeared - I have already changed the SATA Slot and even put it in a external Dockingstation with USB interface...
I can access the drive normaly for the first 4-5 mins, then it stops working/responding and it is not found if I do a warmboot.
After disconnecting power and switching on again the drive, it works for the next 4-5 mins.
Is there any thing I could do myself or do I have to return it ?
I know there is already the firmware 4.0 out, but it looks like a HW issue, not a software issue? Upgrading the firmware with only a mac in the house is not the easiest one - and I don't want to reformat the SSD if it is not necessary.
cheers and thanks in advance,
bigcheese
