the tools of firmware cannot be reognize was becasue:
1. using Intel 10.0 SATA driver ( please using the windows standard driver)
2. set up the IDE to AHCI
3. the partition was not the windows's OS
4. some of the chipsets (nVIDIA)
please confirm with these and hope everything will be fine
got the same problem. I bought a Phoenix Pro (FM-25S2S-60GBP2) just a week ago. After installing Windows 7 i noticed, that there is a problem with the energy modes. I get a BSOD when i return from stand-by.
Using google told me that there is a problem with the sandforce controller an energy saving.
So I decided to update the Firmware in hope to get rid of this problem.
But my SSD is not recognized by the SSD Updater.
I checked all this hints (1. using Intel 10.0 SATA driver, 2. set up the IDE to AHCI, 3. the partition was not the windows's OS, 4. some of the chipsets (nVIDIA))
but my SSD is still not found.
Asus eeePC 1016P (Intel? Atom? Pineview-M N455 /Tigerpoint NM10)
If you bought this SSD a week ago, you don't have to upgrade firmware.
It had already been the latest firmware.
This issue(awake from stand by)) hasn't solved yet.
If we get new firmware about this issue, we will release as soon as possible.
Maybe... is there a different way to see the version of the firmware?
And telling me that this is the latest firmware does not solve the problem that the SSD is not recognized ;-)
i am having the same problem...I too have the Phoenix Pro (FM-25S2S-60GBP2 with Firmware 2.1) running on Win7 SP1 in AHCI mode...but i am unclear on the other two things...my drive is the windows partition and i have installed the latest Intel RST drivers but no luck...

Please don't use Intel driver when uses upgrade tool.
The upgrade tool would not recognize SSD via Intel 10.0 driver.
Using windows standard driver would be better.
as we metion before, here are the reason your SSD will not be recognized
1. using Intel 10.0 SATA driver ( please using the windows standard driver)
2. set up the IDE to AHCI
3. the partition was not the windows's OS
4. some of the chipsets (nVIDIA)
if your motherboard using nVIDIA chopsets, it may cause this problem and we still waiting Sandforce to provide the solution.

Sorry that you missunderstood me.
I did all the changes you suggested but the SSD is not recognized
1. use the "standard ACHI 1.0 serial ATA-Controller" by Microsoft
2. switched IDE mode in Bios to AHCI
3. use 2 Windows and 1 Linux Partition on the SSD
4. Chipset Tigerpoint NM10 (Intel? Atom? Pineview-M N455)
