I have recently noticed poor performance in my computer, and so ran some tests to see what might be the cause. Everything looked ok, other than my year-old G.Skill Falcon II (64GB).
I have linked to the image of the results from AS SSD; the 4k-64Thrd read score of 3MB/s is what has me worried. It starts out much higher, but then it seems like all data transfers stop for a while and the rate (which I assume is an average) just drops lower and lower. Eventually the transfer continues, and the rate rises again for a while, until the transfer stops once again.
I am running windows 7 ultimate 64bit. The drive is using the native AHCI driver, and I have run through all of the suggested tips and tweaks short of upgrading the firmware.
Any help/suggestions would be appreciated, as would clarification on whether or not my drive is still covered by warranty.
