  • SSD Falcon 64GB SATA 2.5" Trouble after 2 years!! Emergency!

I've owned this SSD for almost 2 years, flawlessly.

Just today I woke up to find my computer trying to boot up but could not.

    I powered down and rebooted.

My computer would get to the windows 7 loading screen and freeze then blue screen.

First thing I thought was SSD failure because everything worked fine until windows tried to load.

What I have done so far:

I put the SSD on my second computer as secondary HD. Booted. Windows XP is on the main hard drive and will not load with SSD power cable attached. Once I remove the SATA power cable then window XP loads fine on the main HD.

Does this mean my SSD is dead? I have an extremely valuable file I must get off. I am hoping there is a fix or a way to get the file off.

I did run this 64GB near capacity for the last couple of weeks, before I always had around 15gigs free. Perhaps being maxed on space is what caused this issue. Perhaps it will not boot because it is full.

I'm not sure, any help would be appreciated.

i'm sorry to hear. I hope you got data backed up to a HD.

Is it true having SSD at maxed capacity would reduce its life? If so, how much free space are we supposed to have?
