  • Help! Windows 7 installer does not see my phoenix pro....

    Motherboard: Gigabyte P35-DS3R

Bios recognize the drive and show correct model.

However windows 7 installer does not see it. I tried "Load Driver" with Intel Chipset driver as well as SATA/AHCI driver , but it still doest not see the drive.

When i plugged the drive in another windows 7 machine, it recognized the drive fine. I formatted it to test write and read function. It worked fine.

For the life of me, i couldnt get windows 7 install done. Please help,

I searched desperately and only found similar problem with OCZ sandforce drive (all for laptop tho). They all got it fixed by loading the motherboard sata driver. Which i did but no result.

    Thanks all in advance.

Just to update for anyone with the same issue, i fixed the problem by upgrading the FW to 3.2

I used CD boot method and upgrade the FW stored in a UBS drive

I just finished windows 7 installation. Time to read up on adjusting the OS for SSD. Anytips are welcome.
