  • Asrock P67 Extreme4 Motherboard does not see Phoenix Pro from cold boots

Hi, I have two 60GB Phoenix Pro SSDs connected to my Asrock P67 Extreme4. Half the time I turn on my computer from a cold boot, the motherboard does not see my SSDs. I need to keep resetting the computer until it finally shows up. I have already tried changing the SATA cables, but they still do the same thing. Is there something wrong with these drives? Could it be a firmware issue?

    Hi Weenz,

please use [magic parted] to secure erase this SSD.
if it still occurs this issue, please RMA it.

    thanks

I don't think RMA will fix anything. I have 5 of the SSDs and they all do the same thing, even after secure erase. This sounds like firmware issue.

        Hi Weenz,

Do you know P67 chipset is going to recall because SATA port issue?
So I can't tell is it SSD firmware or chipset issue.
Did you enable AHCI hot swapping option.
I know some of motherboard have to set this option, it is disable by default.
